EJF has lined up two such companies that will be the first to form part of this circular economy. Qualy is a Thai design brand with a focus on community and environment. which has already used the nets to produce a keychain attachment to help people minimise touching surfaces during the coronavirus crisis and visors to prevent infection. Similarly,They will contribute fishing nets they find through their Plastic Offset Program. In conclusion , A project that regularly cleans up beaches in Thailand.
What are some of the ways that fishing equipment can be produced sustainably?
Fishing gear manufacturers can take several steps to make their nets more recyclable. Firstly, nets made from one type of plastic polymer. Each type of plastic has a different melting point and can’t put together when in the recycling process. If nets are made from one type of plastic, it makes the recycling process much simpler and cheaper. The fishing nets have a tag or a mark that provides important information. It like the name of the fishing boat. This would allow for easy tracking of people who are responsible for the net .
